Extracting configurations of values mixing scores from experts and ignoramus using Bayesian modelling

The article proposes a method for producing configurations of values in firms. Values have an impact in the long-term survival of businesses and guide managerial decision-making. The method produces cross-comparable latent rates of configurations of …

Measuring the impact of an organizational inclusion programme on absence among employees with disabilities: A quasi‐experimental design

This article presents research on an organizational inclusion programme aiming to reduce absenteeism due to illness and injury among employees with disabilities. Qualitative fieldwork on the programme's characteristics was followed by a …

The Power of EI Competencies Over Intelligence and Individual Performance: A Task-Dependent Model

Prior research on emotional intelligence (EI) has highlighted the use of incremental models that assume EI and general intelligence (or _g_) make independent contributions to performance. Questioning this assumption, we study EI's moderation power …

Religious tides: The time‐variant effect of religion on morality policies

Morality policies evince a much closer relationship to religious doctrines than is the case in other policy areas and hence constitute a most likely case for the observation of religious effects on policymaking and regulatory change. Yet we still …

The Governance of Goal-Directed Networks and Network Tasks: An Empirical Analysis of European Regulatory Networks

In this article, we answer the research question “What factors affect the structural complexity of network administrative organizations (NAOs)?” The question warrants further research because of the lack of empirical studies on the topic. We design a …

Rule growth and government effectiveness: why it takes the capacity to learn and coordinate to constrain rule growth

This paper asks whether strong bureaucracies can effectively constrain the continuously growing stock of rules in modern democracies through organizational coordination and learning. To answer this question, the paper analyzes the growth of rule …

ggmcmc: Analysis of MCMC Samples and Bayesian Inference

ggmcmc is an R package for analyzing Markov chain Monte Carlo simulations from Bayesian inference. By using a well known example of hierarchical/multilevel modeling, the article reviews the potential uses and options of the package, ranging from …

Using ggmcmc

There is a pdf version of Using the ggmcmc package. Why ggmcmc? ggplot2, based on the grammar of graphics (Wilkinson et al. 2005), empowers R users by allowing them to flexibly crate graphics (Wickham 2009). Based on this idea, ggmcmc is aimed at bringing the design and implementation of ggplot2 to MCMC diagnostics, allowing Bayesian inference users to have better and more flexible visual diagnostic tools. ggplot2 is based on the idea that the input of any graphic is a data frame mapped to aesthetic attributes (colour, size) of geometric objects (points, lines).

The emergence of Regulatory Regionalism: transnational networks and the diffusion of regulatory agencies within regions

The regulatory regionalism approach has increasingly claimed that a new mode of regional governance is emerging globally. Regional policy regimes, developed in broad social and economic territorial areas, affect the internal transformation of the …

EI competencies as a related but different characteristic than intelligence

Amid the swarm of debate about emotional intelligence (EI) among academics are claims that cognitive intelligence, or general mental ability (_g_), is a stronger predictor of life and work outcomes as well as the counter claims that EI is their …
